Schilling Engineering was awarded a certificate as an “Exemplary Company 2021” at the Lea “SME Award for Social Responsibility in Baden-Württemberg” ceremony.
At the award ceremony, which took place digitally this year, the social partnership with various schools in the surrounding communities was highlighted in particular:
“In the coronavirus year, Schilling carried out a project at several schools to reduce the viral load in the classroom. As part of an educational partnership, the company showed how to properly disinfect hands and surfaces. In addition: What kind of filters are needed to filter out viruses? The supervised school groups also visited the company and learned what a clean environment is. Finally, the pupils tested the ventilation units in the classroom and were able to measure the viral load. In the end, this was so low that it was possible to work without any problems and infection was very unlikely. With this and other projects, Schilling wants to give pupils access to the world of work. A contribution to making technical professions attractive and preventing young people from dropping out of their training or studies.”
