Materials, equipment and documents can be transported into the cleanroom without employees having to lock themselves in and out. A material pass-trhough works due to mutually interlocked doors. As only one door can be opened at a time, the pressure difference between the rooms is maintained. The air in the material pass-trhough is “purged”, i.e. filtered and exchanged, during the material transfer. This removes airborne particles and minimizes contamination.
How does a material pass-trhough work?
Material pass-trhoughs are used to connect areas with different air standards and cleanroom classes.
