How loud is it in a Cleanroom?

It is often assumed that the noise level in a Cleanroom is permanently very high due to the noise of the fans and motors of the filter fan units (FFUs).

However, thanks to the use of low-noise FFUs, the noise level is only somewhere between a whisper and normal, quiet speech, even if many FFUs are operated in one room.

As no telephones ring and employees talk to each other as little as possible (to avoid unnecessary particles), work in a Cleanroom is quiet rather than loud.
