Educational partner of nine schools
Schilling Engineering has officially sealed an educational sponsorship with nine schools in the region. The company provides the pupils with a wide range of information opportunities as well as practical and extremely helpful orientation offers.
On the initiative of the chambers of industry and commerce, the agreement between the state of Baden-Württemberg and the regional economy with the aim of “Every school a partner company” was concluded back in 2008.
The company representative, Gerda Schilling, former principal of GMS Klettgau, presented a well-founded program for interested pupils at a media event, which goes far beyond the provision of internships.
Essentially, the offer covers the four areas of company exploration, which is career and topic-oriented, internships, career presentations and job application training. The latter includes, for example: “etiquette” in the company, preparing written applications, mastering job interviews through to the simultaneous presentation of an application with feedback.
Schilling Engineering can offer apprenticeships in the fields of mechatronics, technical drawing and business administration. In this respect, the company is a highly interesting partner for pupils and schools alike, which also aims to counteract the development of the shortage of skilled workers.
