Plastics processing in ISO 7 with integrated robotics

The Lercher Medical GmbH processes thermoplastics for medical technology applications. In order to meet the strict requirements for safety, quality and traceability in medical technology, the company relies on reliable processes and a controlled cleanroom environment.

For the production a ISO class 7 cleanroomclean room was set up for production, which offers optimum conditions for plastics processing under clean room conditions. This cleanroom system enables hygienic and reproducible production processes that meet the high quality standards of medical technology.

The injection molding machines are directly connected to the cleanroom and equipped with laminar flow attachments to specifically minimize particle emissions. An automated conveyor system with integrated robotics transports the injection-molded components to the cleanroom in a protected manner. This closed material flow reduces the risk of contamination and ensures maximum process reliability.

Within the cleanroom, the medical plastic components are assembled, labeled and packaged through to the sterilized end product. Each production step is precisely coordinated and continuously monitored to ensure consistently high product quality.

With the new cleanroom system for medical technology Lercher Medical GmbH has created the basis for efficient, automated and safe production of medical plastic components – an example of modern cleanroom technology that combines innovation and quality.
