SCHILLING ENGINEERING GmbH, located in Wutöschingen-Horheim, is considered one of the leading specialists in cleanroom technology. Günther Schilling’s company has long since made a name for itself on international markets and continues to expand. With the expansion of its facilities to a total area of 12,000 square meters, the company has reached another milestone and set its sights on the future.
The company’s steady growth is based on a forward-looking approach. SCHILLING ENGINEERING offers a comprehensive and innovative product line. The company is flexible. “We can adapt quickly to the market,” says Günther Schilling. “Always one step ahead” is the motto. The order books are full, and revenue is rising steadily. Over time, the facility was literally bursting at the seams. That’s why the decision was made to expand operations. Expanding resources was urgently needed to prepare the company for the future. The company invested around five million euros in the renovation and new construction.
The construction project was completed in almost record time. After the ground-breaking ceremony in the fall of 2015, it only took around six months to move into the new premises. Architects, the Goldbeck company and local craftsmen worked quickly until the new “jewel box” was finished. Günther Schilling is a little proud: “And all while the business continues to operate.”
A modern, functional building complex has been created on the company premises. The existing building was completely hollowed out and redesigned. The new building was elegantly merged with a transition.
The expansion added 1,200 square meters of new office space. In total, the offices now cover an area of 1,500 square meters. The production hall and service center were expanded by 2,000 square meters to 3,300 square meters. The company is equipped with everything a modern, innovative business needs. This includes a training center and modern offices, all outfitted with state-of-the-art technology. Ergonomically optimized work environments and additional creative spaces have been created. A cafeteria with a so-called “chill-out lounge” has been set up in the old wing. This is where employees can recharge, relax, and gather their thoughts to generate new ideas. Günther Schilling considers a lively exchange of thoughts and ideas, as well as a positive work environment, to be of enormous importance.
The building complex is also designed to meet modern energy requirements. Thanks to the photovoltaic system installed on the roof, the company is completely self-sufficient in its electrical supply. The company is also equipped with modern air conditioning technology with a heat pump and energy recovery. In line with the motto “we live green”, the company intends to make greater use of hybrid and electric vehicles. Two of its own electric charging stations have been set up for this purpose.
